August 10, 2020, Iowa was hit with a massive storm that included high winds and tornadoes. The eastern side of the state is completely shut down and without electricity. At the moment, our Cedar Rapids and Davenport locations have limited access to internet, phones, email, or fuel.
Local officials are stating power outages and services will likely be out for 5-7 days, but we are assessing the damage to see how quickly we can get up and running. Our hope is that we will be running normally by August 12, 2020, however, that is not a guarantee as we cannot anticipate when we will have access to fuel.
We know you have probably been trying to reach us via multiple methods, so please bear with us during this time as we are working as quickly as possible to ensure our customers are inconvenienced as little as possible.
Thank you for your understanding, we will be in contact as soon as we are able.

For Immediate Release
To whom it may concern,
As we battle these difficult times, I wanted to update you on our current operation procedures we have put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I am very encouraged by the progress we have seen in the state of Iowa. Inasmuch, I am excited that we can begin our transition process back to full operational normalcy.
At Bolton Logistics, the safety of our drivers and customers is our top priority. We are committed to continually serve our community and meet the needs of our customers. As more of the community is restricted or stuck at home, we understand how vital our role in delivery has become. I have implemented updated procedures that will take effect until further notice.
Previously Bolton Logistics would only make "to the door", curbside, and driveway deliveries. Beginning June 1st, we will now deliver as well to the first threshold. This will continue until further notice. We must continue to limit driver exposure as much as possible for the well-being of our team.
Our drivers have been equipped with face masks to wear on all deliveries. They will have sanitizer made available to them to keep in their vehicle for immediate use after any threshold delivery.
Additionally, we will continue to no longer require signatures for deliveries. Rather, the driver will capture a photo and document location/notes to show it has been delivered to the consignee. Example: photo of house numbers and package together.
If you have any questions or concerns - please call and let us know. I will make myself available if you would like to speak with me directly. We want to work closely together with our partners to get through this unprecedented time.
Drivers will call ahead on all deliveries to make the consignee aware that delivery is on its way. Our front office staff will continue to schedule deliveries with our dispatch ahead of
Eric M. Bolton
